New Year's Eve Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup sprinkles

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.

Stir in the sprinkles until evenly distributed.

Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve the cookies and enjoy! You can store any leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Happy New Year!
