Ingredients:

1 cup warm water (110-115 degrees F)

1 tsp sugar

2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

1/2 cup tomato sauce

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Toppings of your choice (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, peppers, etc.)

 Instructions:

In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir to dissolve and let sit for 10 minutes or until the mixture becomes foamy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, olive oil, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and stir until a soft dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F.

Punch down the dough and roll it out into a large circle, about 1/4 inch thick. Place the dough in a greased 9x13 inch pan.

Spread the tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle the cheese over the sauce and add your desired toppings.

Bake the pizza for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
